Description

Colne F.C. are a football club based at the Holt House Stadium in Colne, Lancashire, England. They were established in 1996, being elected straight into the North West Counties Football League Division Two.

They remained at that level until winning the divisional title in 2003-04, earning themselves promotion to Division One, where they still play. Their 2005-06 season final position of 9th is the highest they have so far reached.

For a North West Counties Football League Division Two club, they had a remarkable FA Vase run in the 2003-04 season, progressing all the way to the semi-finals before being defeated over two legs by A.F.C. Sudbury. Their best FA Cup performance came in the next season, 2004-05, when they progressed to the second qualifying round.

The Holt House ground is the same ground used by other recent Colne clubs, (who progressed to the highest echelons of the non-league pyramid) and Colne RBL, both of whom folded.

There was a team called Colne F.C. who played in the Lancashire Combination in the early 20th century; however they are unrelated to the current club.
