The site was established on January 18 1999 when the operations of the digiNEWS network were merged and Digital Spy Ltd was formally incorporated in 2001. The website's latest design was launched on March 1, 2006. Digitial Spy has been described as "the nation's favourite showbiz website" by one magazine.
