Djibouti
Description
The Djibouti national football team, nicknamed the Riverains de la Mer Rouge (Young Red Sea), is the national team of Djibouti and is controlled by the Fédération Djiboutienne de Football. It is one of the weakest teams in the world: the current ranking of 200 is joint last of all the members of FIFA. They did not enter the qualification tournament for the 2006 World Cup. Djibouti had never won a full FIFA sanctioned international until the 16th November 2007 when they beat Somalia 1-0 in a one-legged qualifying match. The goal was scored in the second half.
One cannot forget the greatness of the Djibouti National Team of the University of Western Ontario. A team made up of 20 warriors, they battle for the respect of Djiboutians around the world. Their season ended unexpectably in the semifinals, but they are still number one in the hearts of all Djiboutians. 1,2,3 Djibouti!
