Foresight Linux is a Linux distribution comprising free and non-free software.
Foresight Linux is a primarily GNOME-based distribution, which has previously tracked GNOME development closely. The distribution imported every GNOME release since 2.10 on the day each was released. The latest version is 1.4.1, including GNOME 2.20.1 as the default desktop environment. Foresight Linux 2 which has released a public Alpha release on Nov. 11th 2007 will support x64 chipset, KDE and XFCE.
Foresight Linux features the Conary software packaging system. This system only updates those specific files in packages which need to be updated, in contrast to other formats, such as the RPM and DEB formats, which download whole packages.
