Pet Shop Boys
Description
Pet Shop Boys are an English dance music duo, consisting of Neil Tennant who provides main vocals, keyboards and occasionally guitar, and Chris Lowe on keyboards and occasionally on vocals. The duo achieved most of their success near the end of the popularity of the new wave dance music era, receiving their initial sound and presentation from other acts of the period (especially the new romantics) such as Depeche Mode, Roxy Music, Midge Ure, Visage, Thompson Twins, New Order, and Ultravox, mixing in a bit of R & B as well.
Pet Shop Boys have sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Since 1986, they have had thirty-nine Top 30 singles and twenty-two Top 10 hits in the UK, including four number ones: "West End Girls", "It's a Sin", "Always on My Mind" and "Heart".
