Description
Seeed is a German reggae/dancehall band from Berlin. Founded in 1998 they have become famous in Germany and surrounding countries. They are the most popular German reggae act besides Cologne's sing-jay Gentleman. They are considered the Germany's most successful Reggae group because they are able to produce a soulful music that different could enjoy. Thus even though their music has German in it international people still can enjoy this chilly sound. Seeed consists of eleven band members, including three singers, a horn section and a DJ. Seeed is famous for their unusual use of horn. They have worked with Cee-Lo Green, Anthony B,
Tanya Stephens, General Degree as well as other Jamaican artists and producers. You can just about always find a popular guest appearance in their music release. Seeed's lyrics are German, English and Patois. Their biggest hits in the German Sprachraum were Dickes B, Aufstehn, Ding and Music Monks. Although their music is in English and German but most of the German songs are completely translated into English on some of the international versions of the Albums "Next!" and "Music Monks"
Their first smash hit was "Dickes B": a declaration of love to Berlin. They won two ECHO Awards. With the international versions of "Music Monks" and "Next!", they broke through the borders to the surrounding countries, especially France.After their first smash hit "Dickes B", a declaration of love to Berlin, in the year 2000, they released their first full length album a few months later in 2001: "New Dubby Conquerors".
